Worry Is A Waste Of Time
Worry is another negative thought pattern that’s a major time waster. Ironically, one of the biggest worries is the worry that there’s not enough time. That’s a worry that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, because worrying that there’s not enough time is an excellent way to make sure that there is indeed not enough time. In fact, every worry has the potential to become a self-fulfilling prophecy. The more you think about something, the bigger and more real it becomes in your life. So when you spend all your time and mental energy worrying about things you don’t want to happen, you’re actually making those things more and more likely to happen.
If you have specific concerns, get busy and address them, but don’t waste your time worrying about them. If you find yourself worrying about something that’s out of your control, remind yourself how completely futile that is, and then find some positive action you can take that will adequately prepare you to handle whatever may come your way. When something is beyond your control, look for other things you can control that will address your concerns. Don’t allow worry, or other forms of negative thinking, to steal any more of your precious time.
