Nourishing Thoughts Part 4

This is the last of my list of nourishing thoughts you can use. Feel free to use them as is, or to modify them as needed. You can create your own nourishing thoughts which address specific areas of your life which you desire to address:

I appreciate the good things in my life. I understand that those things I truly appreciate will grow stronger and more valuable.

My desires are pointers to my purpose. Not only do they motivate me to achieve great things, they also can reveal my true essence. As such, I pay attention to them and seek to understand them. They represent a powerful path toward self awareness.

A moment of true, unencumbered joy is worth more than pure gold. I’ve found that I think more clearly, I’m more motivated, I feel better and am healthier when I regularly lose myself in joy. I make a point to relish the experience of being fully alive and completely enjoying myself.

By carefully making plans and then following those plans, I’m able to take positive control of my future.

By feeling secure about who I am, I can spend my time on living and not on worrying.

I understand that forgiveness can be very liberating. When I’ve been wronged, the best way to end the pain is to let it go. Forgiveness puts me back in control.

When I make a difference in the life of someone else it also energizes my own life. Helping others gives me a true sense of accomplishment. It broadens my perspective and gives me an increased sense of purpose.

Just imagine what will happen when you pick five or six of these affirmations to nourish your mind with each day. The things you say to yourself you tend to accept without question. The things you say to yourself repeatedly become hard-wired into your consciousness, and exert an influence on everything you do.
