Determination Part 6

by Jon Clayton on 2010/10/04

Instead of using the setbacks as excuses for holding back, use them as reasons for pushing even more strongly ahead. Instead of complaining about all the things that are wrong, pick one frustration, or shortcoming, or injustice, and do something positive about it. Then pick another, and another. In every moment and in every situation, there is opportunity. Turn that opportunity into real solid accomplishment and fulfillment. Know, again and again, how great it feels to make a positive difference in your own life and in the lives of others.

For when you decide to truly make a difference, there is always a way you can. When you know what is right and what must be done, there is always a way to do it. When they tell you it can't be done, don't believe it. What that really means is that it will take commitment, persistence, innovation and effort.

Don't pass up the best possibilities just because they have a cost. Do what it takes to pay that cost, to bear that burden, to reach for the best and never settle for less.

Nothing can keep you down for long when you're determined to succeed. Look past the frustrations of the moment and you'll see that they're just stepping stones on your path to ultimate fulfillment. Pausing to dwell on the unfairness of it all will only serve to waste your time and effort. Keep moving in the direction you've set for yourself.

Each moment is a triumph when you decide to make it so. Whether something can help you or hurt you is totally up to you. Your experiences are what you choose to make them. The power of your own determination can cause anything to work in your favor.

Go for it! You can do it when you decide to do it. Get determined and continue to make life happen for you.
